About us

The Office for Collective Design (The OCD) specialises in providing strategic advice, master planning, sports planning, urban design and concept design.

Our clients are not-for-profit institutes, developers, commercial and institutional companies, community groups, local government and government.

We are highly collaborative, engaging and believe that a collective and collaborative approach to the projects he participates on is the key to meeting client needs and providing exceptional community outcomes.

Matt Drysdale, founder of The OCD, holds a broad expertise covering the fields of project management, urban design and strategic planning, master planning, the built environment, public art and architecture as well as involvement on numerous strategic projects both in Australia and internationally.

Matt is a highly experienced Urban Designer, Master Planner and Designer with a diverse portfolio of projects and experience ranging from major public and infrastructure works to public art and landscape.

This extensive experience and “hands-on” knowledge across all aspects of project inception and planning through to delivery, has allowed him to develop a specialist design skillset that underpins the work The Office for Collective Design (The OCD).

Matt Drysdale is a highly experienced multi-disciplined designer and strategist. With over 20 years of experience in the major project environment, Matt has spent multiple years working with some of Australia’s renowned and foremost experienced master planners and architects, recently focusing on providing strategic advisory services and design advice to local government and institutions.

Matt’s unique skillset derives from working in Australia and abroad as a major project designer for acclaimed Australian Architect and master planner Daryl Jackson A.O, International design studio Woods Bagot as well as holding design consultancy roles for several additional architecture studios.

Collaborator - urban Design, Master Planning

An architecturally trained designer and multidisciplinary artist with over eight years of experience across state-significant infrastructure and urban renewal. Through GULEDARCHIVE, the practice integrates design strategy, research, and cultural narrative to explore the relationship between memory, identity, and the city.

Guled collaborates on many master planning projects.
