Receiving third place in an international design competition, this master plan changes the traditional approach to development density in South Korea.

HANGLAS DEVELOPMENT MASTER PLAN

A non-traditional approach to master planning a brownfield site

Our challenge for this project was to integrate, celebrate and maintain the natural values of the site setting while meeting the development area requirements. We made a conscious decision to develop more, lower scaled development envelopes to promote a greater sense of social interaction and reduce the visual impact as the site is highly visible from its surrounds.
